Four different things can be removed, and they mean four different things. In order of size, smallest first.
Stop publishing, without deleting anything#
Disconnect the agent in Settings → Agents, or remove the repository in Settings → Repositories. Both stop the future and neither touches the past. Often this is what people want when they reach for a delete button.
Remove one entry or one session#
Delete a memory entry, a task or a session from the app. It is removed, not hidden. Teammates' next briefings are built from what is there now, so a deleted record stops travelling immediately.
Tip
For a memory entry that is merely wrong, correct it instead. The correction is what every later session receives, and the record of having changed your mind is kept. Deleting loses both. See Memory.
What expires on its own#

Archive is a view; purge is a deletion#
A finished task moves to Archive after a set number of days. That hides nothing and deletes nothing. Archived tasks are still searchable.
The setting that deletes is the archive purge: how long an archived task is kept before it is removed for the whole team, permanently, along with the reasoning agents brief from. It is off by default, it applies to everyone in the workspace, and only an owner or admin can set it.
Delete your account#
Settings → Data & privacy, then
Delete your account. You type delete my account to
confirm, and there is no undo.
It removes your account, your memberships and your pending invitations everywhere.
Note
Work you already published stays with its workspace, attributed by name, the way a name stays in Git history. A team's shared record is not quietly rewritten because one contributor left, so deleting your account is not a mechanism for redacting the team's history of a project.
If you own a workspace, that blocks the deletion until you transfer it or delete it. An owner has obligations to the people in the workspace: they can hand it over or shut it down, but not walk away and leave it ownerless.
Delete a workspace#
Settings → General, in the danger section. You type the workspace's exact name to confirm. This removes the whole team's shared record, permanently.
Billing ends first, and it ends properly#
If there is a subscription, Runi cancels it before deleting anything. If Stripe cannot be reached, nothing is deleted and you are told why:
The subscription could not be ended, so nothing was deleted.
That ordering is on purpose. Deleting a workspace while the card kept being charged would be a worse failure than refusing to delete it, so the delete refuses while a live subscription is on file and proceeds only once the provider confirms the end.
Order of operations, if you are leaving entirely#

Disconnect your agents#
In Settings → Agents, so the entries are withdrawn from each agent's config instead of orphaned.

Transfer or delete any workspace you own#
Deleting cancels the subscription first. Transferring hands it to another owner and leaves the record intact.

Delete your account#
Now unblocked. Memberships and pending invitations go with it.

Uninstall the app#
Which also ends the daemon. Local session detail under
~/.relayis yours to remove by hand if you want it gone today.
Something you cannot find a button for#
Email us and say what you want removed. A request that names the workspace and what should go gets answered by a person, not a form.
